For a while there, plaid was not very popular within the fashion world. However, thankfully for us (loyal plaid lovers), plaid & tartan both made huge fashion comebacks! In 2013, plaid patterns could be found in the collections of some of the most sought after designers - Reem Acra, Emerson, Karen Walker, Gryphon, and the list goes on and on. We believe plaid is here to stay, and we could not be more excited about that. We love this look because plaid can be very versatile. You can pretty much wear any item of clothing in a plaid pattern, and paired with the right corresponding outfit choices, {a tad PLAID} can become a very ‘casual and thrown-together’ looking outfit that still screams chic. We like to make sure that our plaid outfits never look too thought out or put together. Also, don’t overdo it with plaid by making it your go-to pattern for your entire outfit. Instead, break up plaids with another print or pattern (trust us, this works). Another great look is to pair a plaid dress with tall boots or a plaid top with denim, like Cas. Finally, if you want to try the plaid look but are a little nervous, do what Ken did, and try the pattern out in a pair of shoes (so cute!). Try it, and if you aren’t already a plaid convert, we bet you will become one!

X,
Ken&Cas
